Wind & Truth Days 1-5 - The Sandee Boyz

The final 10 days begin...
Dalinar stands atop the tower of Urithiru with his hand thrust out toward a massive storm that forms a tight spiral of purple and blue clouds. At the outer edge of the spiral turbulent clouds give way to pale blue sky barely visible over the tall peaks. Forks of lightning stab at the mountains that fill the vista. In the sky beyond the storm, clouds seem to unravel in loose waves, dark orange over a warm yellow sunset. Ice forms on the top of the tower, the surface shining as it catches light. On the perimeter, a low railing connects supports topped with colorful spheres that represent the orders of the Knights Radiant. Below the roof, thin classical columns form a ring around the tower. The ridge intersects the tower in the foreground left. Alien life pokes through the snowy slope with tall onion like buds, iridescent purple and green.

Matt and Chris sit down again to do a mid-book check-in on Brandon Sanderson’s Wind & Truth. So much happens in the first half of the Final 10 Days that they go character by character with all the developments. They talk about Kaladin’s new role, Shallan grappling with the aftermath of Rhythm of War, Dalinar’s quest maybe not being all it seems, the interludes, and Sanderson’s method of revealing Rosharan history. And has anything happened to make them feel any better about Adolin?

All this and as we reach the midpoint of the series, Matt brings up a worrying proposition: what is the story of Roshar?
